Lex Autolease steers Stockport Academy students onto the career ladder

Our annual Year 9 visits to Lex Autolease have been taking place this month.

A group of nearly 30 students have made the short trip to Heathside Park on each of the past two Fridays, spending time with staff and hearing about how the company works, the different roles within the business and what it is that makes someone employable.

Students are set a series of questions they have to find the answers to, including information on the company itself and why employees may choose to work there.

Assistant Principal Mrs Sorby said: “We would like to thank Lex Autolease once again for welcoming our students and giving them an insight into the world of work.”

This is the third year the academy has been running the visits with Lex Autolease, while we have also been involved in the business’ charity days, Christmas dinners and joint visits to the National Forest.

The final visit takes place this Friday (24th March).
