Students In Driving Seat For Career Success After Lex Autolease Visit

Our Year 9 students have been making their annual trip to Lex Autolease over the last couple of weeks as part of their introduction to the world of work.

During each visit, groups spent the morning speaking with Lex Autolease staff about their roles within the company, their career pathways and the perks and challenges of their jobs.

They also met with two of the company’s directors who told them about how they got to their positions and offered advice for anyone thinking of following in their footsteps.

Students even had the opportunity to listen in to live customer phone calls as part of the process of learning about customer services and the characteristics needed to work in the sector.

At the end of the visit, the groups posed for a photo with a luxury car.

IAG Co-ordinator Mrs Selby said: “Thank you to Lex Autolease for allowing us to run these trips, which are now into their fourth year. They are an invaluable experience and give our students a real insight into life after education.”
