Year 7 Testimonials

The best way of describing what school is like is to hear what our students say; here is a selection of testimonials written by them:

"My first year at Stockport Academy was a bit nervous because I went from being one of the oldest people at Primary School to being one of the youngest at high school.  On my first day I was excited but scared at the same time in case I got lost or didn't know many people, but now I think I have made some really good and funny friends.  When I finish Stockport Academy I hope to get good grades.  In the future I hope to be a vet or an artist because I love animals especially dolphins and I want to take care of them and I also really love drawing pictures." - Bridge Hall Primary Student

"My first year at Stockport Academy has been good fun.  My favourite lesson has to be PE.  There are lessons not so fun but I know that they are there to help my future.  My new friends are awesome and I think the school standards are perfect.  My favourite thing is enrichment and I play football at lunchtime.  I like to play lots of sports for school and I always work hard. "  -  Ladybridge Primary Student

"I have not been at Stockport Academy for a year because I used to live in a different part of the country.  I have met lots of new friends, I didn't think I would like the school when I first went there but I do like it now.  I like the teachers at the school but my favourite teacher is Miss Lunt and the best thing ever is that she is my form teacher."

"When I first got into Stockport Academy I was nervous but then everyone was nice to me and I just felt fine, the next day we were all friends. We had a fun day recently and I watched the abseiling and did dance mats. I have loved my first year and I can't wait for more." - Lark Hill Primary Student

"My first year at Stockport Academy has been wonderful.  Summer School was a great opportunity to make lots of friends and that it exactly what I did; this really helped me get through the first couple of weeks by already having friends and not having to worry about being alone.  My form tutor has been very helpful by explaining everything I needed to know at the beginning of the year and up to now giving me all the information I need.  Beside from the hard work we have to do, Stockport Academy is also very fun with all the fun activities and enrichment clubs which have kept me healthy with all their sporty activities.  There have been loads of great trips to places like BMX tracks and laser quest as rewards for our hard work which has been so much fun.  My first year at Stockport Academy has been great and I am looking forward to the rest of my time at Stockport Academy".  - Crossacres Primary Student

"My first year at Stockport Academy has been amazing, I have been on four school trips already and there is at least one more to go!  The four fun trips I have been on are the PGL, Skate City, Krispy Kreme factory and Lazer Quest and in July I am going to Paris!  The teachers are so supportive if you need help with something.  At Stockport Academy bullying is not tolerated which I am glad about.  I have got so many supportive friends, everyone is so kind and I am glad I chose this school. " - Cheadle Heath Primary Student
