Stockport Academy Celebrate The Best In Everyone Awards

Students and staff from Stockport Academy are celebrating after winning three awards for excellence at the annual United Learning Best in Everyone Awards.
The awards, which garner hundreds of nominations each year, were launched in 2012 to celebrate the outstanding achievements of secondary students and their teachers across schools group United Learning.
This year’s ceremony was held in Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, and saw winners of the 50 overall awards gather for the celebration along with teachers, guests and representatives from United Learning.
Everyone at Stockport Academy was very proud this year to celebrate as the school’s Peer Mentor group won ‘Pupil Team of the Year’, Safeguarding Officer Mrs Nicholls won ‘Support Staff of the Year’ and Year 11 student Megan Deans won the ‘Student Leadership Award’.
Executive Principal Mr McCarron said: "All of our winners are incredibly deserving of their success and it testament to the whole school that we were recognised across so many areas against a really high standard of competition."
