TECHNOLOGY - TEXTILES TECHNOLOGY (GCSE)
THE COURSE WORK
During the two years you will learn practical skills, which will help you with your coursework.
You will be able to use these skills to give you the opportunity to gain an A-G grade in textiles technology.
These will include:
- Design and making skills
- Fibres and fabrics
- Fashion drawing
- Understanding industrial and manufacturing processes
- ICT
- Adding decorations to fabric, dyeing, printing, appliqué and machine embroidery.
ASSESSMENT
The GCSE Textile Technology course follows the AQA Examination Board Syllabus. The course is divided into two parts, Coursework and Final Examinations. You will have to produce an A3 folder of 20 sheets, showing all designs, ideas and processes.
There will be a written examination paper in your final term.
