Message from
Elizabeth Llewellyn - Director of Sixth Form
Welcome to Stockport Academy Sixth Form. Students in our sixth form benefit from small class sizes, dynamic, innovative staff and state of the art teaching facilities.
Stockport Academy has a specialism of science with business and enterprise and offers biology, physics and chemistry at ‘A' level, as well as a wide range of traditional AS and A2 subjects. We have an outstanding music suite and dance studio to facilitate our expressive arts courses and extensive outdoor games areas for our BTEC sports course.
Our sixth form centre, on the top floor of the building has a spacious common room where students can relax as well as a dedicated study area for research, homework and independent study.
All our students have a personal tutor and meet weekly in small groups and for one to one support. Personal tutors provide friendly support and advice, monitor students progress and help with career planning for the future.
Above all Stockport Academy sixth form is dedicated to the success of all our students. We give students the freedom, respect and responsibility they deserve as young adults, within a framework of high standards and expectations. Students choosing to study with us in Year 12 will leave us as confident, mature young adults, equipped and qualified for the 21st century.
