Christmas Show Is A Cracker

Our annual Christmas Show was a real cracker, with performers receiving standing ovations after getting their audience into the festive spirit.

Year 5 students from five local primary schools attended a matinee production before a sold-out evening show, which was based around the theme of ‘peace’.

Onlookers were treated to a variety of performances covering drama, dance and music, with the first half exploring the true meaning of Christmas and the lighting of the Christmas wreath.

After an interval where visitors were treated to mince pies and hot drinks, the party started with some modern festive classics, including a rousing performance of Wizzard’s ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday’ by our staff choir.

Head of Expressive Performing Arts, Mrs Campbell, said: “Our students have gone above and beyond in putting the effort into our productions this year, and the Christmas Concert is the perfect way to sign off 2018.

“I would like to thank all staff, students and families for their ongoing support for the EPA department, and we look forward to putting together even more high quality shows in the coming year.”
