Happy Days For Stockport Academy Students And Staff
Stockport Academy is officially one of the happiest schools in the country, after being shortlisted for the Laughology National Happiness Awards in November.
We reached the final three in the ‘Happiest Secondary School’ category, and received a commendation on the night of the awards for being ‘pro-active in supporting staff and student wellbeing’.
Judges also noted how our school ‘regularly celebrates a sense of community’ and has a ‘tangible ethos’ that supports happiness across the board.
Mrs McCann said: “It was an absolute honour to reach the final three in this national competition celebrating happiness, wellbeing and inclusivity. We strive to provide our students with an education with character, and this commendation supports that drive.”
