Santa Claus Comes To Town For Stockport Academy Nursery Party

Our Health and Social Care students hosted Stockport Academy’s annual Nursery Party, along with a raft of other special guests!

Around 70 children from Adswood and St Matthews’ Nurseries attended the bash, which our Year 11s organised as a thank you for allowing them to spend time at each school as part of their coursework earlier in the year.

Our guests from St Matthews’ arrived first, and kicked off celebrations with a big sing-along of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town to let Father Christmas know where they were! Sure enough, after one verse the big man himself arrived to a chorus of cheers, before sitting down in his sleigh and meeting our guests along with his trio of helpful Year 11 elves.

There was also a bouncy castle, a film area and lots of art and craft activities to keep everyone entertained, before Pikachu and the Stockport Academy Minion popped by to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Our students then organised a game of pass the parcel, before our guests enjoyed a buffet lunch – rounding off a very enjoyable morning!

Principal Mrs McCann said: “We love working with St Matthews’ and Adswood Nurseries and having them both come here for our annual Christmas Party is a real highlight of the year. Our students really enjoyed the challenge of organising this event and everyone worked really hard and had an amazing time.”
