Work Ex At Lex For Year 9

Throughout March, Year 9 students visited Lex Autolease in Cheadle to get a taste of what it is like in the world of work. The following report is by student Abigail Yan.

The day was packed full of helpful information about their business, such as daily responsibilities and how they achieve customer satisfaction.

We also met some of the most important people at Lex - they told us about their departments, what they specialise in and how they achieved their career goals.

Firstly, we visited the Accident Services department and were told about breakdowns and shown pictures of some collisions, with staff explaining how modern cars are designed to protect drivers in an accident. After that, we went on to the Vehicle Management department and were given headsets to listen to live calls from customers about vehicle repairs they needed and people who have recently been involved in an accident.

I thought it was great and we were able to gain an insight into what different departments do and what life is like in an office. At the end of the visit, we found out about the perks of working at Lex and enjoyed a free hot drink!
