Year 10 students have penned a letter of thanks to Lex Autolease for their kind donation to our DofE programme.
Dear Lex Auolease,
We would like to thank you for your very kind donation towards the Duke of Edinburgh scheme in our school. This is going to make a huge difference to the quality of our experience, and we are extremely thankful.
In our school, the teachers and staff always endeavour to give us the best opportunities to learn new skills which will help us in the future, and we are very fortunate to be able to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh award. Due to the money you have kindly chosen to give to us, we will be able to purchase tents and other equipment such as rucksacks and compasses which will be a great help during our outdoor expeditions. We are very grateful to your staff for their generosity in raising this money for our school, and supporting our scheme.
Also, your contribution helped us to buy the equipment we needed for our very first practice expedition recently, where we travelled to Rivington Pike and spent the day navigating our way through the snow. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience, which helped us to build on our existing map reading knowledge. We also learnt about pacing and compasses, all made possible by the admirable generosity of your staff.
We are all incredibly grateful for your fundraising, as it means that we are able to experience this amazing opportunity.
