Stockport Academy Shortlisted For FOUR Educate Awards

Stockport Academy has been recognised in FOUR different categories at this year’s Educate Awards.
The ceremony, which celebrates the best in education around the North West, takes place in November, with the finalists being announced online last week.
We have been shortlisted in the following categories:
- Teacher of the Year – Miss Stirling
- Support Staff of the Year – Mr Farquhar
- Team of the Year – Senior Leadership Team
- Outstanding Commitment to the Environment – Eco Club
Last year, we reached the finals for the ‘Inspirational Secondary School’ category. You can read all about this achievement on our website here.
Principal Mrs McCann said: “We are absolutely delighted to have reached the final four in so many categories, which recognises our strength across the board as a school.
“Every single one of these nominations is highly deserved and it is an honour to have such passionate and dedicated staff and students as part of our community at Stockport Academy. We can’t wait until the ceremony now to see if we can go all the way!”
