Santa Stars At Stockport Academy Nursery Party

We hosted our annual Nursery Party, with students, staff and parents all getting into the festive spirit.

Children from St Matthews Nursery spent the morning in our Main Hall, which had been turned into a Winter Wonderland that included Santa's sleigh, a bouncy castle and art and craft tables to keep them entertained.

With Christmas Songs keeping the atmosphere particularly jolly, our young visitors had a great time making decorations and paper chains, before Father Christmas himself visited them ahead of the big day.

He spoke to each of them while sat on his sleigh and gave a pre-Christmas gift to those on the 'nice list' (which was all of them, of course!), before everyone sat down to enjoy a buffet lunch.

Pastoral Manager Mrs McCann, who organised the event, said: "We absolutely love welcoming the nursery children to Stockport Academy for the Christmas Party every year, and it was brilliant to see them having such a lovely time.

"I would especially like to thank the student members of our Charity Group who helped to put this event together - they worked really hard on the day to keep the children entertained and we are all now very much ready for Christmas!"
