Manchester United Foundation

We are delighted to have a partnership with Manchester United Foundation who will be supporting our students both within their curricular subjects as well as helping develop their interpersonal skills. As well as this, our School Partnership Officer, Mr McWilliam will be rewarding students with educational trips and opportunities with school.

Literacy Interventions

The MU Foundation will be supporting students with their reading and literacy skills. This will be in the form of interventions where students will get to read about Manchester United players and compete in fun reading challenges.

Mentoring

Specific students will be working with Mr McWilliam to develop their ‘Future Me’ skills that will support them not only in school but in later life.

Extra-Curricular Opportunities

As part of the partnership with the MU Foundation, students will be given the opportunity to attend clubs ran by MUF as well as be given the chance to go on trips and exchanges. The MUF will also be running holiday camps for students to attend free of charge.

Transition

Mr McWilliam will be supporting the transition of students from Y6-Y7. This may be in the form of transition events as well as providing support within the local primary schools.

Competitions, Rewards & Prizes

As part of the partnership with the MU Foundation we will be receiving donations such as MU training kit and equipment to give to students who are following the school ethos. Monthly competitions will also be available for ALL students to take part in!

Our school is partnering with Manchester United Foundation. The Foundation is a charitable organisation that works with us to deliver motivational and inspiring projects to our pupils, with the goal of helping them reach their full potential.

To ensure that the safety and welfare of our pupils is properly safeguarded and that the activities are delivered in an efficient manner, we provide the Foundation with basic information about each pupil taking part.

This includes the pupil’s name, date of birth, gender, ethnicity, attendance and basic details of any disabilities or medical conditions which may affect their ability to take part in the activities or necessitate special adjustments being made.

We may also provide emergency contact details if required. Any information we provide to the Foundation is securely held and used only for the purposes of delivering the activities and evaluating their success. The Foundation may be required to share statistics with their funding partners to demonstrate how their work makes a difference to the children. Personal data will not be shared with funders without specific consent being obtained.
