Year 8 Students Draw Experience From Banksy Exhibition

A group of our Year 8 Art students spent the day at Media City studying the work of legendary artist Banksy.

The visit to the ‘The Art of Banksy’ exhibition was arranged in order to help them prepare for studying and creating their own street art later in the year.

It was an excellent opportunity to view the style up close, before enjoying a short walk around Media City itself to take in the architecture of the local area.

Head of Art Ms Higgins said: “We are incredibly lucky to have access to this fantastic exhibition within a short drive from our school, so naturally we looked to open the opportunity up to as many of our students as possible.

“Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day and I can’t wait to see how the experience influences their work over the coming term.”
