From the moment they arrived, students were struck by the beauty and history of one of the world’s most famous universities.
One of the standout moments of the visit was stepping inside an exclusive library that looked like something from a fantasy story. Students listened to stories about past scholars and realised they were walking in the same footsteps as people who went on to shape the world.
During the day, the group explored several of Oxford’s colleges, each with its own traditions and atmosphere. They also spoke with current Oxford students, asking questions about university life, applications, finances and how to succeed at a top institution.
The visit also included a drama‑based workshop run by Oxford student ambassadors. This fun session encouraged teamwork, confidence and creativity, giving pupils the chance to try something new while building useful skills.
To finish the day, students enjoyed a formal banquet in one of the university’s grand dining halls. Surrounded by history and tradition, they shared a meal with lecturers, students and staff, creating a memory they will never forget.
Reflecting on the visit, Ms Stirling, Assistant Principal for Character Education, said:
“This experience opened our students’ eyes to what is possible for their future. They came away inspired, motivated and excited about the opportunities ahead of them.”
