Gold Ties and Prefects

Gold Tie Students (Senior Prefects) will be expected to organise, manage and lead a team of prefects in their duties, they will be responsible for ensuring that the team fulfil their duties as expected.  Senior Prefects will be expected to challenge their team if this is not the case.  Senior Prefects will represent the Academy at public events.

The Role Of Our Prefects

Prefects supervise designated areas of the school at break and lunchtime to ensure an orderly and effective school outside of lessons; they should perform duties in a responsible and reliable way.  Prefects are also expected to be role models and demonstrate high standards themselves inside and outside of lessons; Prefects are ambassadors for the Academy at all times.

Should any students be unsuccessful in their application to be a prefect they will be set appropriate targets in relation to this criteria outlined above so that they can work towards becoming a member of the prefect team.
