BIG Award

We are pleased to announce that we have received the BIG Award for anti-bullying.  Congratulations to our peer mentors and anti-bullying ambassadors!

"Stockport Academy have a robust, up to date anti-bullying policy which reflects their excellent good practice in challenging bullying.  They have well trained and supervised peer supporters, and a whole school approach.  Bullying can be a serious issue for children and young people, Stockport Academy have all of their systems in place to alleviate this issue and ensure that their students can learn safely and reach their full educational potential.  We are delighted to present Stockport Academy with the BIG Award."

Free Uniform for Year 7 in 2013

As your children move from Year 6 in primary school to Year 7 in secondary school the cost of buying new uniform can be a worry and we are keen to ease this burden for all families choosing to join our Academy.

Our Chair of Governors has agreed therefore that Stockport Academy will offer parents a voucher that they can hand in at our uniform suppliers. The voucher will fund a blazer, two jumpers, a tie, PE top, PE skirt/shorts, and PE tracksuit. We have made this agreement with our suppliers for the next 3 years. Details on how this will work will be communicated to you on the New Parents' Intake Evening in June 2013.
