An innovative and exciting curriculum

Stockport Academy strives for excellence across its curriculum.  We teach a broad and balanced range of subjects including all the key areas of the National Curriculum.  Students receive an all-round education and are encouraged to pay particular attention to the core skills of English, mathematics and ICT.

All academies have a specialism.  At Stockport Academy, this is science supported by a theme of business and enterprise.  This specialism reflects the needs and interests of our students and the employment prospects in the area.

A full grounding in business and enterprise ensures that students are prepared for the working world.  The science element of the specialism includes all traditional areas of the subject as well as more vocational ones, such as health and social care and sports science.  Students also have the opportunity to study for science A levels.
