Enrichment - Public Speaking

Public Speaking Club encourages self confidence and looks at what makes a successful orator

When and where does Public Speaking Club take place?

Public Speaking takes place every Wednesday during Period 6 (2.40-3.30pm) in the Lecture Theatre.

What does Public Speaking Club involve?

The club is run by Miss Honey and Mr Fuller, who teach Public Speaking skills such as preparing, debating, body language and confidence. They introduce students to a variety of individuals who have made a career out of speaking.

How do the students get to practice their new skills?

Students are invited on a number of trips to help support their development in this area. For example, they will be visiting the Etihad Stadium for a VIP tour and practicing their skills in the Manchester City conference rooms to experience what it is like asking questions as a member of the press.
