The night saw dozens of awards handed out to students across all year groups, recognising their hard work, dedication and exceptional contributions to school life, both on the stage and on the sports field.
A number of accolades were dedicated to the
school’s show-stopping production of Aladdin, which enjoyed a sell-out run back in December and was a highlight of the academy’s co-curricular calendar. The event was also an opportunity to showcase the success of the school’s sports teams and individual athletes across a range of disciplines.
Students and staff were treated to a motivational speech from special guest Paul Lakin, Chief Executive of Super League rugby club Hull KR, who shared his career journey through the world of professional sport before helping to present trophies to the award winners.
Head of Performing Arts Ms Lakin said: “Celebrating the achievements of our students in the arts and sport is so important. These subjects give our young people a platform to express themselves, build confidence and develop valuable life skills. It was a fantastic evening and one the students will remember for a long time.”
The night ended in style with a disco and photo booth, giving students the chance to dance, capture memories, and reflect on a truly unforgettable evening.
