Our new Year 7s spent a day with us over the Summer holidays to give them the best possible start to life at Stockport Academy
Over 100 students came into school on 24th August to find out more about their classmates, spending time in their form groups while taking part in a number of fun sessions throughout the day.
They had the opportunity to try their hand at a number of different tasks and workshops, including pebble painting, making Mandala CDs, basketball, multi-sports with Manchester United Foundation, Science and team building exercises.
Head of Year 7 Ms Foster said: "It was amazing to spend the day with this group of students, who can't wait to get started with us!
"I have no doubt they will achieve great things here at Stockport Academy, and we are very excited to welcome them properly into our community."
