Students study the artwork of India and learn Mehndi

Year 10 Art and Design students have been studying the artwork and culture of India.  They have made drawings, painting and collagraph prints of popular Indian patterns.  The students have researched and drawn Mehndi patterns and have painted these onto their own hands and arms.  Mehndi patterns are henna tattooed onto the bride and bridesmaids and these are an important part of the wedding preparations.
