Stockport Academy Choir hit the right note with the Halle Orchestra

Our choir had the honour of performing with the Halle Orchestra at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester this week.

The 23-strong group attended the ‘Come And Play With The Halle Orchestra’ event after being invited by Stockport Music Service, along with other schools from across the borough.

They performed two songs – the first of which was called ‘Believe’, which they will also be singing at our upcoming Prizegiving ceremony at Stockport Plaza Theatre on 6th July.

The second song was a specially-composed piece titled ‘A Certain Kind Of Imagination’, which was written to celebrate everything great about Greater Manchester.

Music Teacher Ms Stevenson said: “It was a real honour to perform with the world-famous Halle Orchestra and certainly a moment our students will not forget.

“Thank you to the Bridgewater Hall, Stockport Music Service and of course the Halle themselves for letting us take part in this special day.”
