Paris Trip Report

Year 7 and 8 students recently enjoyed a four day trip to Paris, read the trip report here written by Y8 Student Sarah Roberts...

Everyone was really excited at Stockport train station about going to Paris because some of us had never been abroad before.

We arrived at Gare du Nord after several hours and walked to the hotel which was close by.  Then it was time for an evening meal in a little restaurant where we spoke some French and relaxed after such a long day.

The next day, we had a French breakfast and took the metro to the Eiffel Tower. We took the lift to the highest point where it was quite windy, but the view was amazing! It felt like you could see all of Paris; I could even see other famous landmarks like the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées – even Sacré Coeur!  We then went to the Champs-Elysées and had a look in some of the shops and ate lunch in Pomme de Pain.

Over the next few days, we saw some of the most amazing sights and even took a boat trip along the Seine in the evening which was brilliant.

One day, we went to the artist quarter in Montmartre where we learnt about the history of the area on Le Petit Train de Montmartre.  We had such a great time and we didn’t want to come home.  We learnt so much, especially how to travel around Paris and how to communicate in the French capital.
