Award Win For Young Enterprise Group

Our Year 10 Young Enterprise group competed in the Stockport area finals of the Young Enterprise Contest – coming away with a trophy in the process!
The group won an award for ‘Best Customer Service’ on the night, which took place at the UA92 campus in Trafford – beating several sixth form and independent school teams in doing so!
Students have been working on their company ‘Soothing Scents’ for months, producing scented candles and then marketing and selling them as part of the Young Enterprise competition.
During the finals, they had to create a trade stall, submit their company report and make a presentation to judges on their product and vision for their business.
Business Teacher Mr Lewis, who leads the Young Enterprise Team, said: “Our students were absolutely inspirational in their performance this evening – the work they have put into Soothing Scents clearly showed when it came to demonstrating to the judges.
“I am so proud of their achievement – not only because they were up against students who were much older and experienced than them, but because they gave it their all and have reaped the rewards.”
