Stockport Academy students put on a thank you party for our Adswood and St Matthews nursery schools.
Adswood and St Matthews' nurseries have kindly been working with us this year to allow our Health and Social Care students a visit to witness, first hand, the development and learning of young children at these two fabulous nurseries. Whilst there was a work element for our students, gathering information and case study evidence for their coursework portfolios, the visits were also much enjoyed by all.
As a thank you and with the hope of continuing this successful relationship, the Academy invited in staff, students and parents from both nurseries for a Christmas treat including a bouncy castle, ball pool, card making, musical chairs, football, tasty treats and of course, a visit from Father Christmas.
We were delighted to host this event and send home a framed photo of each tot meeting Santa.
Said Janine McCann, Vice Principal, "It was a joy to see our students working and playing with the nursery children. Events like this allow us to bring to life the skills we are teaching in the classroom and also offer a lovely opportunity for a festive start to Christmas. We thank Adswood and St Matthews for their support."
