Academy students attend a fascinating day at the Lowry
Year 11 students took part in an Art Workshop at the Lowry last Friday. Our Art students learnt how to make their own sketchbooks and used these throughout the day to record some of the stunning views of Salford Quays, Media City and Old Trafford. We also took lots of photos of the landscape to use back in the Art room at the Academy. It was a challenge to draw quickly from direct observation however each student now have some exploratory work to contribute to their Urban for the GCSE. Well done year 11, so proud of your efforts and your developments this week in class.
