A group of Stockport Academy dance students spent the weekend (February 20th-22nd) in North Wales to hone their skills and learn more about British values.
Nearly 20 students from years 7 to 12 visited the Conway Centre in Menai as part of a dance enrichment trip, where they took part in experienced technique classes and choreography workshops.
The students then created a 20-minute contemporary dance piece based on World War 1, with all year groups putting in an outstanding effort to produce a brilliant display of their talent.
After working hard all day, they spent Saturday evening unwinding by taking part in a team battle at the disco!
The following morning they continued to perfect their pieces, before giving a final performance at the end of the day.
Dance Teacher Mrs Campbell said: “The trip was a huge success and the students have done so well – plans are already underway for a similar event next year and we can’t wait!”
