Stockport Academy students step in for Father Christmas
Stockport Academy charity Group have today been to visit the lovely Socially Yours Group of Stockport.
Our students have collected food, toiletries, chocolates and Christmas gifts for our local community and made them into beautiful hampers for distributing. Representatives of our Charity group took the Christmas Hampers to the Farmers Arms in Cheadle Heath where the Socially Yours group were having their annual Christmas Lunch. During this special time we sang Christmas Carols and were even joined by Mrs McCann and Mr McCarron in a beautiful rendition of Away in a Manger.
Said Karen Beal our chaplain, "it is such a pleasure to see young people interacting with adults and our retired community. Their generosity has been overwhelming and so gratefully received."
