With May proving to be a washout so far, Stockport Academy’s steel drum band brought a bit of sunshine music to business partners Lex Autolease.
The company was holding a charity day, and invited our musicians to entertain its staff as they focussed on raising money for BBC Children in Need.
Lex Autolease held the day as part of celebrations for its milestone 250th year and there was plenty going on at the site, including the opportunity for employees to have their pictures taken with the real Pudsey Bear.
It was a chance the students were keen not to miss as well – as they donned fancy dress and got into the festive spirit of things to pose for photos after their performance.
Head of Music Mrs Dines said: “All of our students performed really well and it was great to see how much the staff at Lex Autolease appreciated our music.
“Our steel drum band is an excellent example of what our talented students can achieve, and we were happy to share what they can do with the community outside of the Academy.”
