There is no better way to learn a foreign language than experience it first-hand, which is why some of our Y7s spent a few days in Paris last week.
After travelling on the Eurostar, students had an action-packed visit, which started with a walk up and down the Eiffel Tower – not a bad place to start! The group rounded off their first full day in the capital by walking along the Champs Elysées, taking a trip to Le Louvre and going bowling in the evening.
The following day involved them revisiting Le Louvre to see the Mona Lisa and going on a boat ride along the river Seine.
On the final day, students looked around Notre Dame and were lucky enough to see an air show that had been organised for Bastille Day, before enjoying lunch and crepes at Montmartre.
Miss Hindley, who took the students on the trip, said: “Our students really took the opportunity to test out their French skills and sample what life is like in the country.
“Everyone had an amazing time – and we really couldn’t have packed more into the three days we were there!”
