Charities Committee Host Afternoon Tea for Socially Yours Group

Our Charities Committee brought an feel of community to the Academy on 8th July when they hosted an afternoon tea for the Socially Yours group.
The afternoon tea was planned and organised by our Charities Committee staff and students; our Charities Committee consists of student representatives from Years 7 through to Sixth Form. At the start of the afternoon the Socially Yours elderly residents listened to a few songs by our school choir and student saxophonist prior to being served tea and cakes and treated to a few games of bingo.
Thank you to Socially Yours for the lovely plaque and plant which was presented to students at the end of the afternoon.
