Lights, camera, action! These three words will definitely be familiar to a group of Stockport Academy students currently producing a short film to raise awareness of a very important issue.
The project - led by Stockport Targeted Youth Engagement Services (TYES) - is focusing on young men and mental health, and is the latest in a series of projects led by the organisation.
Year 9 student Clayton Walsh is playing the lead role in the film, and has been involved in several projects led by TYES over the last two years.
Recently, Clayton - along with fellow students Mikey Witter, Chloe Eastham, Shaunna Eastham, Harrison Marshall and Abbie Donohoe - visited Stockport's Lord Mayor's parlour where they were invited for dinner and shown around the Town Hall. They also delivered a presentation on the work they've been doing with TYES.
Michelle Scanlan from TYES said: "The group's behaviour was impeccable and was complimented by the local councillors.
"We're still in the middle of the film project and are currently coming up with a suitable title for the finished piece - we can't wait to watch it back and see all of the students' hard work come together!"
