A series of events have been planned for this week to help our students understand what their career options are after they finish their education.
March 9th – 13th is officially National Apprenticeship Week, and there is plenty going on in and out of the Academy to celebrate apprenticeships and encourage students to think about the sort of jobs that are available to them when they enter the world of work.
Today (March 9th), Mr Cheetham took a group of Year 11s and Year 13s to Stockport Town Hall for an Apprenticeship Fair, where they learned all about the different opportunities available to them.
Mr Cheetham said: “Preparing students for the modern world is an important issue, which is why introducing them to the idea of apprenticeships so they can fully consider their options is the focus of National Apprenticeship Week at the Academy.
On Tuesday, students will be attending the ‘Your Futures Your Choice’ conference at Manchester University. Finally, on Friday, a group will be attending the first of three visits to Lex Autolease in Stockport to learn first-hand about how the business operates and the different roles that are available within the company.
