X Factor band performs at Stockport Academy

Former X Factor stars Brick City treated Stockport Academy students to their own private performance this afternoon.

The band – who featured on the show in 2013 – visited the Academy as part of an educational tour that has seen them visit schools all over the country.

After surprising the entire school by appearing above the atrium to sing some songs at lunchtime, they then launched into two 40-minute shows in the main hall. The event had been organised as a reward for students who had achieved 95% or more attendance.

As well as performing cover versions of hit songs such as ‘Uptown Funk’ and their own soon-to-be-released single ‘L.C.D’, the quartet spoke to students about the destructive impact that drugs and alcohol can have on a person’s life.

They also participated in a Q&A session where students were allowed to ask the band anything they liked, with questions ranging from “what is Brick City?” to “who has the biggest feet?” and “do you like unicorns?”

The performances ended with a medley of cover songs that had everyone up on their feet, before the band signed autographs for their new fans.
