Stockport Academy is always proud to go the extra mile to support the local community, and this was the case once again at a recent event.
Music teacher Mr Hulme regularly works with students from Alexandra Park Primary, and on April 23rd he took the school’s choir to sing at Stockport Town Hall.
The event – the Junior Schools’ Choirs Concert – was organised by Stockport Music Service, and showcased some of the best young talent the borough has to offer.
In fact, the concert was so good that it prompted the organisers to write to all of those involved to thank them for efforts during the evening.
Jill Henderson-Wild, Vocal Animateur from Stockport Music Service, said: “It was a super evening and the children really seemed to enjoy performing.
“The Mayor and Mayoress both told me how much they had enjoyed the evening, as did many parents. Well done to everyone!”
