A selection of our Year 9 students were invited to Liverpool University on Wednesday 13th May as part of the Future Scholars scheme.
The programme offers high-achieving Year 9 pupils the chance to experience a day at a Russell Group University, and we were joined by schools from across the north of England at the campus.
Pupils were treated to a Law lecture, unpicking some of the ethical issues behind the law itself and formulating their own court room arguments. Also on offer was a fantastic Science lecture, giving pupils the chance to take part in experiments with liquid nitrogen, exploring whether it was possible for a human hand to withstand such extreme temperatures.
After a tour of the campus courtesy of the University’s student ambassador team, pupils even got a sneak peak of what their graduation may look like - just have a look at our pictures below to see what our future graduates looked like!
Our students said the day was “really enjoyable” and that they “never realised how much you could do at university”. A huge thank you to everyone from Liverpool University for hosting the event and giving our students a day to remember!
