Stockport Academy welcomed students from six Primary Schools in the area today (June 26th), raising awareness of how to live a healthy lifestyle.
Pupils from Cale Green, Alexandra Park, Larkhill, St Thomas’, Cheadle Heath and St Matthews attended two morning classes with Academy staff, having a go at everything from making fruit kebabs to learning vigorous dance routines!
They also had the opportunity to have a go at sign language, making carnival masks, trampolining, music and speaking a foreign language, before showing their parents and carers what they’d learned on the sports field at lunchtime.
Ms Sorby, who organised the day, said: “We love welcoming students from our local primary schools into the academy and today was no exception.
“Of course, the day had an important message behind it, and everyone really seemed to take that on board while having a massive amount of fun.”
